STANDEX Program Meeting
| On September 6-8, 2009 in NATO Headquarters in Brussel (Belgium) the meeting was held dedicated to the program "Stand-off detection of explosives and suicide bombers" (in short STANDEX).
The main goal of the program is to create using variety of technologies a global system for detection of explosives and suicide bombers in real time. For these purpose four projects were chosen for funding.
One of the projects belongs to APSTEC, which, in collaboration with TNO (the Netherlands), ICT (Germany) and KRI (Russia), will develop a system for stand-off detection of "suicide bombers" with active millimeter waves.
During the meeting last organizational issues were discussed.
