NATO ARW "Detection of Liquid Explosives and Flammable Agents"




17-19 October 2007 in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) in SEC (State Education Centre) a traditional NATO Advanced Research Workshop was held dedicated to problems of detection of liquid explosives and flammable agents. This meeting attended more than 60 representatives from almost 30 different scientific and governmental organizations and research institutes of 11 countries all over the world. APSTEC scientists also took part in this meeting. In the frame of the Workshop the following problems were discussed:

- problems of classification of liquid explosives and flammable agents;
- possibilities of recognition;
- promising scientific researches;
- examples of existing devices and equipments for explosives and hazardous material's detection were presented by scientists from different countries.

Materials of the workshop will be published by NATO in traditional book of proceedings.
